The seating are the same on the oem lug nuts. As well conical 60‘ and M14x1.5. So what should be exactly the difference on aftermarket lug nuts? And why should it be possible to damage the wheels with OEM lug nuts.
Maybe I am dumb to understand where the differences are on the seating.

Thx

The nuts are smaller in diameter for sure and splined, they come with a socket. I don't know if it would be possible for the factory nuts to fit in the holes on the M017s...

I figured they would just fit because they were exact reproductions

I drove 2-1/2 hrs to Sebring with no problem, but I guess the g- forces from turning, loosened the lugs
Like I said the rears were fine, had zero problems

I’m wondering if they were made for non 1le camaro’s
I’m pretty sure they do not have the beefy studs we have

I’m going to call MRR see what they say
Maybe I need special lugs

I’ll have to figure it out when I go back to Florida

Thx for your input

MRR sends lugs with the wheels. They don't have seats for the OEM acorn.

I use MRR for AutoX, I would never use them for track and I have a set of lugs just for them.

If you use the correct lugs, they hold 140ft-lbs just fine.

No they were not painted in the cone area

I know now I need new lugs

I put my own wheels back for now, am going to buy the proper lugs when I return to Florida

I just think the distributor that sold me wheels should have sold me the correct lugs, needed

Thank you

Why would you not use them for track days?

The splined ones will work fine. So will the ones that use a 19mm hex instead of the stock nuts' 21mm hex. I am using Gorilla 45048BC, as one example. Vorshlag has plain open nuts for a lot cheaper, and they have the added advantage of getting one extra turn of thread reach.
I purchased the gorilla lugs
Thanks for the recommendation
They fit great

So for MRR M017s, correct torque with their (MRR) lug nuts is 140? I've read different things, 140, 100, 110 . . .

I would use the EXTENDED gorilla Lug nuts as they engage an additional 3-4 threads. Below is picture of standard gorilla lug nuts and extended gorilla lug nuts. If you have a 5MM spacer or less you can use the extended lugnuts instead of using extended studs.

The torque is determined by the stud size, the loads on the wheels, and other stuff unrelated to the actual wheels and lug nuts. The correct torque value with dry threads is always the GM spec of 140lb/ft.
