Turbo backfire and upcoming tune

I have a tuning appointment this Saturday. One of the items I am looking to address is a high-boost (12 psi) backfire between 1-2 gear on my 6L90 transmission. I have read 2 very distinct thoughts around this. One involves the park being blown out in the plugs and another regarding a rev limiter hitting a cap and stalling between gears until RPM's come back down creating the backfire.

Are there any other specific points I should bring to the tuner this weekend regarding this particular issue?

Thank you all...

Possible you're hitting the rev limiter and it cuts spark. The unburnt fuel heads into the exhaust and ignites (loud pop).

With turbos, when hitting boost, the revs scream up quickly so it's easier to hit the limiter than before boost. Some adjustments can be made to avoid hitting the limiter.

Thank you dreksnot. I intend to bring this up in the session to see what they find out as well in the mapping and the RPM limiter.

The new plugs went in and no backfires since. It is thought to have been a poor tune. Time will tell.

The tune session went great. It pulled 814 with 12.4 psi of boost on the hub dyno. It could have pulled much more but the bottom end is all factory and I wanted a very conservative tune that will also allow a long life for the motor.

Thank you for checking in and asking.
