You could end up doing long-term damage to the existing look by sticking them on.

If you want something a little different, why not go the route of something graphics-based and subtle? Maybe an accent stripe in a small area somewhere or similar. Things like that can really add to the look if they're done at a very small scale to accent something a little, and they can always be peeled back off (again, don't apply them to the wrapped hood).

With a dark colored car, you could use a medium grayish stripe between the bottom of the body area and side skirts to set them apart from the car - that sort of thing.
That is A Good Idea. I will look into something like that

I did a three-scoop approach with a 73 Maverick -- the factory Grabber hood had two non-functional "inlets" (see below). I added a functional Torino shaker scoop. Your idea has a bit of the same spirit, so I like that, but it probably merits a thumbs down because the styling of the tape-on scoops looks, well, tacked on.

Something like the Grabber approach might work here though, with rounded scoops outboard of the lines running down the hood. A custom bodywork project is probably not what you were thinking about, but it would be unique -- and they don't all have to be functional if the styling really works for you.

A friend of mine had a 3 speed manual 6 banger Maverick, exhaust headers and maybe some minor stuff added. At the time I had a 69 383 Road Runner.
I never thought much of it until I first rode in it to go somewhere with him and that car surprised the hell out of me. That car had some impressive punch to it for a 6 banger. My jaw dropped a little. Don't get me wrong it wasn't a race car but it wasn't a slouch either.

No. Tacking crap on for the sake of modding or being different I get. Been there done that.
But not these

Dodges tend to be tacky to me, hence the comment. Not referring to function.
