Hi, Ashen Gray 14 2 SS/RS thinking of buying Factory ZL1 Side skirts, I am assuming they will come Black plastic color, should I leave them or paint them body color? I am planning on adding Matte or Satin black rims as well.
I am thinking Black would look nice but not sure.

Also OEM or Aftermarket?

I ordered OEM ZL1 Skirts, My buddies who owns a body shop is going to paint them, Do you guys know if they come with new clips?

I have ZL1 side skirts and had them color matched to car. If you are going for matte wheels, splitter, spoiler, etc then paint/leave them matte black. It really all depends on the what look you're after.

I guess from what I am reading is that the top plastic part needs to be painted or the sun will gray them out.

So i am painting them Body Color and leaving the line and below Black, Do i want to paint them a satin/Flat black or leave them plastic to match the grills and bumper? Does the textured plastic hold up? The car is not going to be baking in the sun all day but will be outside from time to time in the elements.

If you do leave the bottom portion the matte color it is and paint the top, just make sure you use a quality cleaner/protectant on the bottom half so it doesn't gray out. I have a friend who has a 2013 ZL1 from brand new and they look JUST like brand new!! Key is to keep them clean and treated.. GL.

Not ashen gray but it is CGM. Top is painted and the bottom is not.

CGM is Cyber Grey Metallic, and if you are talking about our grilles, it is the Heritage grille. Thanks for the compliments too..
