Black Exhaust Tips - NPP Exhaust
Hi all,
I had been searching for some nice black tips to replace the stock NPP tips. I recently went back to NPP, with plans for long tubes possibly down the line. I love trying new exhausts, but for the sixth gen, they are all pretty pricey (even axle backs). So, I went the cheaper route of doing the secondary cat delete, and now replaced the tips for a different look. The stock tips are just too small for my taste. I found these on Amazon. These are double walled, slash cut, 304 stainless, and powder coated satin black. These were the only 4" outlet tips I could find that were not too long to fit the short NPP area. Due to the NPP actuators, there isn't a lot of extra pipe to play with under there. I think it turned out pretty nicely, and helped satisfy my jonesing for a new exhaust feeling till I get some long tubes. My plan now is to paint the suitcase with high temp black asap. Let me know what you think! Somewhatdamaged |

LOL Sorry - here's the link:
https://www.amazon.com/Exhaust-Red-T.../dp/B00CELSRW6 Unfortunately, looks like they are out of stock for the 4" version. The company website is: http://www.redtailperformance.com/ They have the 3.5" outlet version, but those are the same as stock. The 4" really fills out the back a lot better in my opinion. |

Those look great! You're right, 4" tips really fill out the bumper opening.

You can count me in...those will look great on my car. I'm so sick of seeing one tip on each side clean while the other gets blackened by the exhaust. Thanks for this.

Cut the old ones off, then did you weld or clamp on the new ones?

I like the larger tip look like the ZL1's have. Whats the inlet size on the tips?

2.25" on the inlet and it looks like he's got them clamped on with a black ring in the photo, but I assume you could also weld them. I'm just curious if he had any challenges removing the inner stock tips to leave himself with enough material to install these? Would love to hear more details about how the install went.
