Greenville, SC '14 AGM 2SS 1LE
Hi everyone. My name is Christopher and I'm a recovering forum lurker....
Ha. Really though, I just didn't have any business joining the Camaro5 community until today. Just pulled the trigger and ordered my quarter life crisis 2014 AGM 2SS 1LE today from my Uncle down in FL. As I mentioned before, I've been lurking on here for a few weeks now while I made a decision. I'll update on the progress and will post pictures when it arrives. Until then, I'll be asking questions and learning more about the new project. Already have an E^2 Catch Can in the works. Any other "MUST DO" items? Finally, I am going to have to drive it from FL to SC (just under 500 miles) when I pick it up. I've seen many folks on here discuss a harder break-in of the LS3 motors with a conventional oil the first 500 miles. Thoughts on how to do this over a long trip? Anyone else take delivery and drive a long distance? Look forward to meeting y'all. -Christopher |

Welcome to the site. I'm receiving my Red Hot 1LE tomorrow and I will be following the owners manual recommendations for break in. With your long drive I recommend driving it on the back roads so that it will be easier to vary the RPMs. If you drive it easy and decide to stay on the interstate it probably won't really hurt it that much. I just like following the advice of the manufacturer. There will be many people on here that will tell you to drive the car hard during break in but they didn't design the car. Good luck with your wait and I hope it's not too long for you.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Congrats! If you are headed up to Montgomery from Panama City, take 167 through enterprise, AL and stop by my house for a break! I'd love to see it!
It's a straight shot from PC to Troy, AL where you connect with 231 to Montgomery. It's FL79 north out of PC which changes to AL167 at the state line. Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 4

Ahh...yep that'd be 65N to Montgomery. You could do I-10E to FL79 and head north, but that'd be a bit out of the way. Enjoy that trip either way!

Congrats and welcome! Another "must do" mod is the Brake/Clutch reservoir seperation/relocation if you have a M6.
Please feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions. Best regards, Tyler 888-308-6007 |
