Help SS 6spd Owners

Long story short. I purchased a 2017 FIFTY SS manual trans a couple months ago. The car has 2300 miles on it now. Running 86mph down interstate cruise set I downshifted to 5th and got SES with other warning lights. 7 starts later SES light went off on its own. I scanned it out of curiosity had a stored code P0735 Gear 5 Incorrect Ratio. It has not tripped anything else since. I researched the code and everything ties it to a automatic trans fault code. Has anyone else experienced the same and what was ultimately the cause?

I've never had an issue. 8500 miles on my 2017 2SS.

We can see too far.

Positively we to to 5th. They biggest question is why would a manual trans car get automatic trans fault codes.

So you were in 6th, down shifted to 5th, while on cruise control? Try not having it on cruise control when you down shift! That’s how I do it, and get no codes.

I regularly downshift with cruise control on and never got a fault code from doing it.

EDIT: I always drive with auto rev match enabled.

Was this done with or without Rev match on? I would see if you can repeat this.

Sounds like a faulty sensor, giving false reading to the ecm/bcm.. If I remember, the complete code base is loaded in the computers, but configured for your car/drivetrain. My guess, if it's mechanically operating fine.

Even if he went into 3rd at 85, should not be an issue. 3rd gear easily winds out well into the triple digits.

This sounds like the answer. Can't really understand how else that happens.

hmmm could it be related to a fault in the output speed sensor? also, check your trans fluid, I bought a used v6 and the tremec 3060 trans fluid was empty, but no signs of a leak…
