Whipple 3.0 around the corner.

Looks like the Gen5 Whipple 3.0 is set to start shipping January.

Can’t wait to get my hands on one! Think I’ll be playing Santa for myself this Christmas.

What are these things putting out for power on built, full kill, setup 5.0 Mustangs?

I actually reached out to both whipple and magnuson before going with procharger. Wanted a PD from the start, but everything was out of stock and backordered except for procharger.

I feel sort of stuck at the moment with the procharger, but may in the future switch to a PD. Back in March or April, (or sometime early spring) they said they were about 90 days out... obviously its been a bit longerthan that. Interested in knowing the real world differences in the 3.0 vs 2.9. Seems like going out of stock for approx 1 year on something like that would be hard on business.

On the plus side, learning a ton with the PC and in hindsight still glad i pulled the trigger. It was a summer of fun and learning that i would have otherwise not had.

Late January, eh? Back in 2016 I wanted the 2.9 after it was announced, and it kept getting delayed. Guy that I knew was #4 in line and his did not show up until March 2017. THEN he found out that the blower case would not allow an LT4 hpfp to be used. WTF who was the moron that designed something to add a lot of power but made it difficult to upgrade the fuel system? Anyway I have to question when they will actually show up, and also whether there will be any stupid design problems like the beginning of the 2.9 had.

If its anything like the 5.0 its going to be a stellar package and very tough competition for Magnuson and Pro Charger. Doubt they'll have one for the C7 since it was tough to get the 2650 Maggie under the hood but for the Camaro's its gonna be a big hit.

On the Coyote they are making 1000 with fuel system, OPG, CAI, and 112 tb. From what I have read it is quite a bit more capable then the VMP Odin 2650. And still has the edge even with a full port on the Odin.

They could likely drop GM stuff altogether and be fine. The Coyote platform has the majority of the market. I could nit pick stuff about every supercharger kit available for GM stuff if we really want to go there. It's almost like GM cars are a after thought for most of these Supercharger companies. However since they have missed the release date for the 3.0 by a long shot I expect the kit to be a bit more "polished" this time around. The Gen 5 3.0 has been available on the Yote since 2019.

The Whipple 3.0 has been high 7's @ 170 on the Coyote. No expense spared build of course.

If Magnuson doesn't get CARB-legal, I might work on selling this 2650 for a CARB-legal 3.0 Whipple...

There is a pretty good amount of 8 second coyotes with full interior running these, given the coyote revs/makes power at higher rpm's than LT's but I am stoked for this.

There is some stock bottom end gen 2 built 6r80 coyotes running 8s with these, fore fuel system, injectors and e85.

Pretty certain there is an 8 second f150 running the 3l too.
