Maybe they will make an autonomous drag racing car too.

Sure, but how many people realistically drive a V8 muscle car across country? Most people here barely drive their Camaros to work. They are toy/weekend cars. That's perfect for an electric car. I'll miss the V8 sounds though, even as a non-V8 owner. I hope Dodge doesn't try to give it a fake V8 sound. I'd rather the fake sound be something ridiculous like a jet turbine engine sound. |

And you don’t think this has any impact on the future of automobiles AND Camaro?
I kind of do, hence the post.

I have a feeling we may be talking about an electric Camaro sooner than later. Like it or not those electric are are quick! I rode in a Tesla model 3 and it was damn quick, I can only imagine what a model s is like.

Not sure what makes an all electric Dodge muscle car as part of a natural evolution or whatever....More like government dictation and a mandated end to ICE vehicles. I don't see anything being evolved, it's a no choice only what will be allowed.
An electric motor in a retro looking Challenger will have the Hemi rolling over in it's grave. Nice try, but I don't think it will pass muster. |

Because of this perception this being a weekend straight line muscle car, with less utility, i'm thinking a sacrifice of range for a lighter battery might be the way they go. The total weight of a tesla model 3 performance long range is 4000lbs. The battery 1000lbs! It's hard to imagine a light, EV Dodge 'muscle car', but if straight line is what they're after, that would be one way to do it. Last edited by Hops; 07-08-2021 at 08:46 PM. |

I'm curious to see what they come up with.
But not a fan of the Mitsubishi logo. At all. |
