Just got mine back. The paperwork says my dealership used part # 19353429 and not the "updated" fluid #19355656. I'm not sure what that means but I guess I'll wait and see how it goes...

Angry A8 Transmission shudder again after 3,000 on new TC

I went through the whole troubleshooting process and had the TC replaced at 15,000 miles at end of July. Worked fine until I noticed a slight shudder two weeks ago on the highway at 18,000 miles. Now, at 18,300 it is unquestionably back. I guess I'll have to contact the dealer on Monday. Apparently, there is some real problem in the manufacture or the software. The whole car shakes noticeably when it happens; even my wife noticed and said "What's that?"

Really frustrated.

Anyone had a 2nd TC installed to fix this problem??

Hearing about of these TC and shifting issues is unsettling.... no rumble strips
for me, but I did have a chance to drive the car (warm out today). The 1st to 2nd delay in shifting w/major follow up slip was disheartening. I can’t understand how the tranny can be good one day and so crappy another.

Thanks to those that posted the fluid part #’s.

I got my SS back yesterday and the shudder seems to be gone.
The tech told me they used the newest type fluid but I won't get my paperwork until Monday.

He also told me its a back flush to clear the solenoid screens that are in the tranny. (Pretty sure GM knows exactly whats wearing and why. Flush and fluid is obviously the most cost effective route for them presently.)

My front brakes were turned and rear diff "flushed" and fluid changed...not sure how you flush a differential?

I'll test the diff out today on the first drive.

The whole process was seamless....they have done this more than once and stated the flush is the cure.....I chuckled but he assured me....lol. They were more concerned about the rear diff and stated it may have to be changed if the fluid change does not correct it. They had a series of questions on the rear diff concerning sound....vibration...etc...

Just got my car back for the shudder on Saturday. The car has been shuddering for several thousand miles and I waited to take it in until it was consistently shuddering every time in went to V4 mode. The car has 15K miles and it is a completely different car now. Shifts smooth, no shudder. I just can't believe how bad it was. Made me fall in love with it all over again

2016 2SS A8 with 10,000 and just today felt the shudder. Was on I95 cruising about 70 and going up slight incline and it shuddered of and on a couple times. First time I’ve experienced this...
