Help with ¿blower? whine at idle - SOLVED!

Hello,

Hope you are well!

We are just finishing to install the bolt ons on the car: lower pulley 15%, big gulp, headers catless and x-pipe with stock mufler.

Doing the lower work, we changed the oil pump and the two tensioners for the belt. The car did her first miles with the new mods fine, but today started with a very noticeable and annoying whine at idle.

Has someone any idea what is the cause of it?

Thank you!

Have you checked the clamps on the rotofab? They need to be pretty snug.

That was my guess as well.

You have a leak somewhere in your intake.

Recheck and re-tighten/adjust All fittings and clamps.

Mine sounded exactly like this when I forgot to tighten the clamp on the throttle body.

Holy shit I had to stop the video. That killed my ears.

Definitely check the clamps though. Vacuum leaks sometimes sound really weird.

Also, you may want to remove the supercharger drive belt if all looks good in the vacuum leaks. There is a chance that you may have a pulley that is seizing.

I think the problem is the supercharger boost valve:

What can cause it? Any ideas?

Thank you.

Willing to bet they did a larger TB due to big gulp but didn’t port the blower so it’s a reducer
