I picked up my Camaro on August 23rd, 2018. I had a 2015 Camaro 2SS, but I never started a build journal. So here we go. I am still formulating what I want to do long-term for performance upgrades, but this is what I have so far. I will upload pictures as the pending parts are installed.

PPF, Ceramic Coating, and Window Tint Pictures

You have a very classy looking SS - that Nightfall exterior color is eye catching! As I learn more about possible options and treatments I continue to run across abbreviations that I don't know. What is PPF? Ceramic coating is mentioned -- where was that applied?

PPF is Paint Protection Film. My detailer uses Xpel Ultimate Plus and it is a self healing clear film that goes on first in the more impact prone areas. The next step was to coat the car with Feynlabs Heal Lite. This is a ceramic type coating that also has self healing capabilities. It was applied to all areas including the wrapped areas to provide additional protection to the film.

Apparently the Feynlabs coating will heal minor scratches with a heat gun or just parking it in the sun for a few hours. I chose this so that I would not have to go back to the detailer to fix any issues with the coating if it gets scratched. At least I am hoping that is what happens if I get a minor scratch or marring occurs.

Looks really clean! Nice start to your build. What brand and percent did you go with for window tint?

I believe the installer said it was Madico. It blocks IR and UV. I had 35% side and rear, and 75% front. It looks pretty good and does a good job with glare and keeping the car cool.
