DETROIT – GMC today released the first photos of the 2017 Sierra Denali 2500HD featuring a functional hood scoop design hinting at what is beneath its bold new appearance.

Additional details and information on the new model will be released in the coming months.

I am an old school guy when it comes to style, I love me some chrome trim....but the chrome surrounding the hood scoop looks awful. Makes it look like seem cheap ass Auto Zone stick on piece

Hood scoops on trucks look ...odd.

It's like the Ram 1500 Sport's or R/T's or whatever they are that have the Challenger style hood.

The hood scoop is indeed functional.

Powertrain wise, we're looking at a new Duramax and supposedly and updated 6.0L.

Personally preferred the looks of the newer GMCs over the Silverado counterpart, but I agree about that hoodscoop.

Functionality be damned, lose the chrome.

It reminds me of a bejeweled forehead one might find in an Indian brothel.
