I think these half ass leaks actually help to increase the suspense and make people want more. I know it works for me. I can't wait to see the real reveal now. I love the look of this much better than the standard machine.

Yeah if they get these pics legitimately like actually taking spy shots while out driving I am ok with it but when someone who has access and is given that access with the promise of not publishing then it is just wrong. The fact that it excites us more is irrelevant...... and yeah it has that effect on me also.

Quit blameing jalopnik. Leftlane news leaked it out first so they are the ones to blame. Jalopnik simply hi jacked the pics and info before leftlane decided to take it down.

On a side note jalopnik DID leak this car out in novermber 2011. The wheels are base c6 wheels but the rest of the car is spot on. amazing they had it that long ago

When GM killed Pontiac, a Pontiac design team from the 90's "Pontiac Excitement" era must have hidden somewhere in the building. They've since resurfaced a few times to design key bits of certain GM cars. The first evidence was the 2014 Camaro rear spoiler and deck-lid. Then came the Z/28 with an even bigger take on the 2014 rear spoiler, so much so that it looks like a cartoon caricature of the already cartoonish 2014 SS/1LE spoiler. Now, we have this massive cartoonish snowplow spoiler resting on the back of the Z06. This design team is smart, though, because they make their ridiculous add-ons wind-tunnel efficient and performance enhancing to ensure they survive the final cut.

I'm pretty sure if you went deep into this one you would find that form followed function. The down force requirements were given to the aero guys, the aero team shaped it and then the styling made it look good.

I have seen it work both ways. But with something this important to high speed stability and performance, I think it started with a technical requirement.

Look at the C7R. HUGE spoiler and splitter.

Wow, you want the ZR1 to have space shuttle engines?

It will probably will hit +750. Maybe it will compete with the hyper cars.

I know, the last line of my post alluded to that. I just don't think the result is very flattering.
