6 Piston Caliper Color

Has anyone successfully matched the color of the optional 6 piston calipers? I have been thinking of painting my rear calipers to match the red orange front calipers. This is probably a long shot but maybe someone has successfully done so. I saw a post where someone was trying. Just wondering if anyone has.... Might just end up painting both the front and rears.

I know lesbear had a company on here did it and ended up being a totally different, obviously noticeable color difference. I can't recall the company, but you had to send your calipers out, they powder coat it. I think our 6 pistons have a orange tint to it, and he was claiming it matched but was clearly RED. in anyrate, I'm in for the listening if anyone else did it as I've been looking for the same information for a while now. (They also must say "Camaro" logo with it being sealed in.)

I know they are a little orange. I wonder if the 1Le is the same color? I'm thinking of taking my fronts off and bringing them to a powder coated and have him match the rears....

Caliper matching

I don't know if you can see it in this picture or not but I had my painter match them very closely. Being that the rears are gray and fronts reddish from the factory just painting the rears red over the gray tends to change the hue. My painter who specializes in window tinting, clear bra, paint correction, ceramic coatings, and restorations does quite a few custom caliper paint schemes often for customers. He used a white primer then had the paint made. If I recall it was a torch/redline red he used. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

He said in the research he did the fronts were paint mixed with clear so he had the paint made for the rear the same way.

that would be awesome if they did! I saw the 1LE calipers for $248 each... not a bad price for an exact color match. Could probably have the color matched by a powder coater for less. Have you used specialized coatings in huntington beach?

6 piston Brembo Red color match

I did exhaustive research to find the closest Brembo Red match. I had them done locally.

Here's info on the research:

Here's a photo for comparison:

if i had the 6 pots, i'd paint them gray like the rears.... just to be different... people who know what they are looking at will respect it
