Best Side Skirt Option

I was wondering what the best option would be for a set of side skirts for my 17 SS Fifty. I would prefer to either not drill holes in the car or drill as few holes as possible.

If I could get them pre-painted that's a plus, but I would also get them painted at a body shop if pre-painted would dramatically increase the cost.

Suggestions from anyone that has personally installed would be appreciated.

Me personally, I would go with anything that appears to be OEM or OEM-like. Look for an OEM ground effects side skirt or one of the ZL1-style replicas. I have the ZL1-style replicas from C7 Carbon. They were very easy to install with only a few holes to drill underneath.

There’s plenty of vendors offering a variety of styles to choose from. I think with all of them there will be some holes to drill from underneath which is actually a good thing. I wouldn’t trust a 3m only solution. I chose the American Authority ZL1 style side skirts which screw in from underneath and 3m tape along the top edge to the rocker just below the doors. Do a good search here and on Google to see what’s available in your budget. Here’s what mine look like. I also have their front splitter to match.

Edit: forgot to say they come pre painted gloss black and are reasonably priced.

I have the American Authority side skirts as well. I had a few fitment issues to work thru. Honestly I didn’t mind because the price was good.

The middle of the side skirt wanted to flex away from the car. After several weeks it pulled away to the point that it left a 1” gap. I bought some 3M auto tape. Dropped the skirt, cleaned and re-taped. No issues since. Perfectly flush.

I've got the American Authority ZL1 side skirts as well. No issues here.

Thanks all.. I was thinking the AA or C7 as it looks like they have the best combo of right price and minimal drilling with the option of 3M tape at the top.

But of course I have an entire other issue to deal with now as I have the GM splash guards already installed on my car I forgot about.

Do any of them work with the slash guards?

None of them will work as I understand it. I have the ZL1 Addons rock guards and they fit fine with my side skirts, though.

We carry and sell a lot of ACS options. They have gotten excellent reviews from our customers for fit and finish. They have several different options as well.

Kinda sucks that I have to choose either the side skirts or the splash guards and can't have both

I don’t have a real clear close up but this is my Fifty with the ZL1AddOn splash guards and C7 side skirts. I like the GM splash guards better but can’t use side skirts with those.
