I have had the jack pads slip inside that little 'U' shaped portion of the jack stand.
Not a nice sound or a nice feeling.
The jack pads themselves are a little wonky. They don't fit snug on the pinch weld. That is why they redesigned them with the little bolt to hold them on and made to sit 'in' a stand.
They can flip over if not centered on your jack or jack stand....the original style is flat.
I still say they sold everyone a faulty dangerous product and should refund our money or exchange for the new ones.

As long as you position the pad in the jackstand correctly, it can't slip. It has equal pressure on both side of the pad.

this. there thicker than the pinch welds and wider than your jack stands. I use 2 harbor freight 1.5ton low profile jacks and ZL1 locks. I lift the front with 2 jacks. A few pumps at a time each so the car goes up more equally. One on each side and use the jacks like jack stands. I use one jack on the rear cross over behind the muffler. I put a piece of carpit between the jack stands and the pads in the rear so i dont scratch up the pads. https://zl1addons.com/products/jack-...nt=27752265025

Agreed. Only used them once so far, but they're very well made, and on the vert at least, a breeze to put into place.

Just wanted to update that I bought these and finally tried them today on 4 jack stands. They are solid as a rock and i’m not worried at all about slipping.

Plus 1 on that. Had it slip out a few times. Never used it again. John the owners starts off using us as R&D and then runs a second version that’s better.

I will not support this company more with my money.

Mike, how would you raise our verts if you plan on using the open pinch welds for the bolt-ons since the secondary jack point is taken with frame supports?

The problem is there is so little friction between a hard anodized jack pad and a steel jackstand. Add these:

https://www.harborfreight.com/rubber...-pc-63373.html

You can cut shims to fill the gap in the pad slot after installation. If the slot was any narrower everyone would complain they are too tight to fit over the pinch weld.

Reminds me of the "too-short" WeatherTech floor mats. If they were longer the short guy would obviously complain they hit the seat when it's fully forward.

Is everyone using a puck with the lift points? It seems that the points don't drop low enough for a large jack stand to clear other obstructions. I had a piece of 2X4 get split completely by the pinch welds.

Of all the cars I have ever jacked, this one gives me the most anxiety. I absolutely hate doing it.
