While there are certainly things GM did that should not have been done for the 6th gen(high belt line/window and little trunk opening the worst), they are amazing cars.
Most of the sight problems to me fell like they disappear once you're in the car and driving. Does anyone stop and overthink the basics..... We are talking about 455hp base models and 650hp top line models and we are in here crying about cell phone charging and cupholders. I've never bought a car on the basis of cupholders, charging ports or charging pads. This goes back to people crying about noise which leads to NVH, which leads to high car belt lines with attendant high window openings, so you get small ass windows. We can be our own vicious circle. They do have an amazing car. They have an amazing product. No one knows it, they don't push it, hell look for a Camaro brochure or poster at a dealer It's not perfect, but I'll be damned if they aren't amazing to drive. |

Yes... and that's been my point from the beginning.
Everyone just blankets the entire Camaro line over one change in the SS. |

a lot of us aren't wild about what they did to the base model either. they just reverted to the 2010 large upper grille styling, while not looking as good as the 2010 did.

I read the back and forth, and yes the round robin is constant at times. However the refresh is not as bad as some make it out to be, I was disappointed that when the 6th gen came out it looked too much like my 15 1le, but I didnt lose any sleep over it and didnt have the need to constantly criticize it. Imo the 19/20 are an improvement and look aggressive, and like I said some need to get over it...if your losing sleep over what the front end of a car looks like then I dont know what to tell ya.

I think its hilarious that this thread has this many posts. I can admit that it was a horrible post and what I was actually looking at was the 6 cylinder 2020 which I hate. But the 2020 ss is actually the same thing with the crossbar painted and flowtie moved.

Small changes cause a huge improvement. 2020 does not look like an ugly monster from a horror movie, but yes, convex googles on taillights still the same

A10. Bleh The seat thing I see as a benefit in the ZL1 for sure. I can't imagine really road tripping the ZLE enough for that to matter ha. I do want to hear about this body temp thing.. you making stuff up or is that real? Seems cool if so.

My 17 was super slow... locked up... always had to answer access questions. It simply took way too long to get anything up and running. Now I just plug up hit the icon and toss the phone somewhere since everything is easily accessible and runs like clockwork. 1st thing I mentioned to Al O was the seat tilt and got a big grin and thumbs up from him. he knew it was an issue. This made the road trip from Detroit to Houston sooo much nicer. The ZLE is actually a sweet ride on smooth freeways. Very comfy. And not kidding... the auto heat/cool is awesome. Never touch a button anymore. I even had A/C turned off on the track Sunday and the ventilated seats were still going strong. |
