Quite honestly the Camaro was just an overall better car but it came at a price to get it. I'm happy with it but I'm also anxious to see what Ford plans to bring to the table with the 2018 refresh and the GT500. Lots of good things coming from all three auto makers.

My biggest issue is Ford trying to charge premium markup for something that will sit and collect dust. This exact same dealer did this same markup when the 50 year mustangs came out and they sat for almost 2 years collecting dust.

Truth is, nobody wants to pay 70k for a pony car or 110k for a pony car with a track package. Even though these cars corner well if I wanted a car that was made cornering I'd buy a GT-R.
I dig them both too bud (had an s550 also, great car).

Yeah the 350R is a beast, but their freaking markup is what my 1LE cost. Can go ZL1 1LE for less!!!

It's not the car I hate, it's the dealers...

$50,000 for a hot hatch? Please. I know the new Focus RS is pretty well received and all, but that's just craziness. You can get a lot more car for that money, Camaro or otherwise.

Yeah I loved my Mustang but I couldn't ignore the numbers the Camaro was putting down. I was an import guy for the better part of a decade. It wasn't until 2010 I went back to Domestic cars. The SS Camaro was nice but a complete letdown when Ford did the refresh of the 11 Mustang and added the 5.0. The S197 (11.5-2014) was amazing. I dropped my SS and bought a 2012 GT Premium complete with the glass roof. LOVED that car. The only reason I went to the S550 was because of the handling. However, was disappointed that the S550 didn't perform any better than the S197 in straight line performance. The straight line numbers of the S550 were enough to make me trade for the SS I have now. Hell.. I even went A8 for the extra couple/few tenths of straight line performance. It will be interesting to see what the 18 refresh brings but I'm guessing it's not going to beat the 6th Gen SS. It'll close the gap but if all they do is add 455hp and don't up the torque or drop the fat off the car... it's not going to be any faster.

You laugh but the EVO guys were paying around 45k MSRP for the higher end EVO's back when they were still around. I paid about 35k for my EVO VIII back in 2005.

Brilliant! On Monday, I'm going to try this 60% "market adjustment" on some of my customers and see how far I get.

When I was at the Cleveland Auto Show they had a black RS right at the front of Ford's display. Right when you walk into the IX Center. No sooner did we start to look at it a Ford salesman from one of our local dealers starts telling us what a great car it is and how he is the ONLY dealer in the Midwest with one in stock ready for delivery and how there's an 11 month waiting list to order one.

Wanna bet he's also got a $10,000 markup on his? Lol! I didn't even talk to him. I have no interest in engines that buzz, whine, and you have to rev out to 7,000 rpm to get any power out of.

Im so confused. $52k for that? At the end of the day, you are still driving a Ford Focus.

A buddy just picked up a Black RS early last week. He flew to OR. to get it but paid $38K which is about $1500 off his sticker. Problem I have with that car is that the numbers don't add up.

As for the markup on the GT350. I remember when the Laguna Seca was released. The dealer here wanted $80K even for a black/red one. Back then I couldn't afford one but my buddys old man walked in and offered them Sticker and they laughed at him. He drove to a dealer in WI and bought the same car for Sticker the next day. The dealer here sat on that car for almost a year. Not sure what happened to it but I know that they were asking sticker for it the last time I saw it.

They didn't make an Evo in 2007. I had a 2003 Evo VIII when they first came out and they were going for low $30k.
