Automatic Carwash.....are they safe for our ride?

I got rained on today...which is day 3 of owning a new Camaro. Anyone know if its safe to run them through automatic car washes?

I auto wash mine once a week
with brushes ($3 off on hump day)
but I always take it to the same one, and I have been doing it this way for over a year now. I even have plastidip all over my car and it doesn't even hurt that.

I used to use the touchless but they never got the car clean enough for me.

trick is to find a good car wash with another vehical and then take your camaro to it.

if i wash mine at home it ends up with white spots all over it because of the menerals in my water (I dont even drink the water at my house, its that bad. and i cant wash it with bottled water.)

The key with touch less is once you are done pull off to the side and wipe it down.

Brushes are evil. Touchless have blowers to remove most of the water and use soft water in final rinse to eliminate spotting. Just use a micro-fiber towel to remove any remaining water.

I dont like whiping my car, its nice to me, so no need to whip it.

I still freaks me out every once in a while when I go through.
and as soon as I get done i wipe it down, and check it. I found the touchless miss spots. I wash once a week for 6-7 months out of the year, this year and last and still have no problems.

Gotta be careful with the blowers too....unless they're filtering the air and regularly changing the filters....you're just sandblasting your baby with all the dirt that gets sucked up into the intake of the air blower.

For me? I'd take the extra time and hand wash in my driveway with clean rags and mild soap so I know it's done right and hasn't been damaged. If you're worried about mineral water from wells, get one of those Mr. Clean Auto Dry car wash units with the water filters built in.
