Indeed I did.

I can send pre-defined text replies like

Yes
No
On My Way
Can't Talk I'm Driving

I can also have it read my texts to me.

(It even reads facebook notifications sometimes, can't figure out why not all the time)

I've been wanting to do that to my 2010 as well, but I was waiting for this whole on star thing to get figured out.

We will soon find out when I become the test subject. I'll press the blue button tomorrow on my way into work and explain my situation.

I love my mylink install as I wanted a factory look.

Yes, because you have to subscribe for one year to qualify for the upgrade. Push your onstar button and ask

I found an interesting site about the process of the upgrade.

Looking at it seems the parts for the upgrade are the same for MY 2010 - 2015

It looks like I'll have to revert back to stock to do the upgrade and then talk to GTPrix about seeing if I'll need re-programming to go back to mylink.

http://vitalysmobileautodiagnostics....ht-duty-trucks

My current Onstar failed twice in trying to connect (disconnected). The next time I'll use a landline.

Anyone know anything more about this?
I've been able to use the 'dam iPhone app' ever since I got the car. I like it!
And, I get a monthly diagnostic email. Thought everybody did.

The iPhone app works for 2011+. Those of us with the 2010 model year got screwed. Looks like we may get screwed on this on star upgrade too.

What RPO does the 2010 have?

UE1 or UE0?

If UE1 you shouldn't be getting screwed but if UE0 then no such luck.

Now if OnStar becomes obsolete to us we will have a few additional buttons to reroute to a source of our choosing.

I did the upgrade last weekend.
It gives you 4G LTE signal and mobile hot spot.
Unfortunately, you'll have to pay extra money to get a data plan with OnStar.

Apparently not, not sure what my dealership did.
They were giving me a hard time that day as well and wouldn't upgrade it because it's a free service.
I had to call into GM and file an official complaint after 30min of trying to tell why they need to do it.
They also threaten to hold my package hostage!
Bloody hate living in Toronto :( People here are jerk face.

Anybody with a 2014+ onstar equipped vehicle has the 5 year key fob services plan(comes with the car purchase)

I just ordered my equipment to the dealership, everything for free ; no extra subscription required.
