Brake master cylinder leak ?
Hi, I am having some issues with a brake cap leaking on a 2014 1LE 2ss Camaro with 1K miles.
The dealership replaced the cap with no result, it is still leaking a bit; I had them order another fluid reservoir that they should install soon. Now, I noticed something else and I am wondering how to test if the leak is from the master cylinder itself, OR if the leak originates from something else. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks! Here are some good pictures : |

cannot say if,it's the seal between the booster and brake master cylinder.it's a seap and not a leak if it was leaking the level would be low and the brake pedal would be much smoother than when it was new.and paint would have come off&oil on the floor too!
that seapage came only from time.like you mentionned it was the cap that's causing the leak. so just check around, where that oil could of go... runs on the edge of the reservoir, it goes under and it follow the master from underneath until it reaches the booster ... until it barely drips on the firewall or inner fender... make that warrenty work. |
