Billy Boat

Has anyone put a Billy Boat exhaust on their 17/18 ZL1? I contacted them directly and they said the SS exhaust is the same as the ZL1 exhaust. They want $2K for the cat-back. I have had their exhaust on my previous cars and really like the sound.

Never heard of them before, look to be high quality.

To answer your question, yes SS and ZL1 exhaust components should be the same.

They are very popular in the corvette world. I was hoping to find someone on here that has tried it on their ZL1 to know what it sounds like.

If I changed, I'd go BB.

I don't think they have an NPP option, however.

Yes have always loved the sound of the Billy Boat exhaust. I had it on 95 Pontiac TransAm and loved it. The sound was really nice when you were in WOT and sounded great at all RPM's.

I have tried to find on youtube someone who has this exhaust on an ZL1 but no luck. I am surprised B&B hasn't posted a video of their exhaust on a ZL1...they need to compete with Borla and Corsa.

I’d be shocked if they didn’t offer an npp style muffler. I had B&B Fusions on one of my Corvettes over 8 years ago. They were one of the first aftermarket exhausts to have the bi-mode function.

The picture they show looks to have NPP

To me the MBRP Race sounds the best, but I really need to keep the adjustability because I don't want to be loud 100% of the time. However Billy Boat says their exhaust made for automatic transmissions?

I'm interested too...
Seems to have the NPP valve in the tail pipe looking at the video. If I was going with that complete set up I'd think hard about pulling the trigger on one. I don't plan on doing headers at the moment if at all. Need a sound clip with cat backs and secondary delete.
Also like the sound of the AFE exhaust but can't seem to find clips of those either.

This is the 1st I have ever heard of this company also but damn thats a sweet cat back bolt on set up. And it does have the tailpipe valve.

Wish they had a video sound of it closed. And I was just about to pull the trigger on corsa with borla x.

Aghhhhh what to do???

I've always had Billy boat and loved them. I will do the same for my ZL1 when the time is right. I just got the car last week so I'm going to wait a while before I pull the trigger on the exhaust.

I fall in love with this exhaust every time I play that video.
Do you think it will keep that same tone without the headers?
