Vented seat performance

How much air flow is typical for the vented seats set on high? I'm suprised that I can barely feel any airflow.

It's not that powerful. The fan is very small but I think it works fine, at least for me.

Certainly not a vacuum cleaner in reverse, but sufficient. We had about 90 degrees outside the other day, and I could definitely feel the cool airflow (at max level) right after getting into the car from the heat.

It basically just has a few computer chassis cooling fans under the seat cushion. You’ll get airflow but it’s not gonna blow up Marilyn Monroe’s skirt.

I barely feel it. Anyone ever attempt a fan upgrade?

+1.
You shouldn’t feel an air draft. I find it very comfortable.

Same problem for me and wondering the same about upgrade. Having AC blow to the footwell does help a tad as it blows cooler air.

Technically, the fans don’t “cool.” They just move air from the surrounding area toward your rear end. The cooling effect is similar to wind chill causing temperatures to feel cooler (or a ceiling fan blowing on you during summer), but in this case you can only count on feeling a few degrees’ worth of difference.

I understand that the seats are ventilated, not cooled, and any effect is from 'wind chill' not temperature change. But still i wish there was a bit more air flow at the highest setting, I barely feel anything.

The first time I turned it on I felt the seat actually get cooler. Since then I haven’t felt that same sensation, but it does prevent the seat from getting warmer on a hot day.

You guys do turn the A/C on as well, right? Otherwise the seat fans will shift warm air around, which doesn't help much. I do feel the air movement, and the fans are actually quite audible.
