I used this site to research my new toy.

Hello all, I’ve been in my 2020 LT1 almost a year now. Checked out a lot of discussions here before buying last Nov 2019. Watched a ton of dyno pulls of LT1 engines to know what to expect. I can say I am very pleased so far. It pulls a 3.6 0-60 and runs 8.04 in the 1/8th mile at a crappy 1.94 60 foot (always launch at 2000 and spin) at 3200 da. I just read how to minimize spin when launching and gonna head back to track tomorrow evening to better my times. Also just learned the 0-60 timer and figured out how to get the lower 0-60. Lol

Sounds like you're getting your money's worth out of the new ride! I'm in no hurry to replace either of my Gen 5s but if I was purchasing a brand new addition to the family I'd have to lean towards one of those LT1 models. I like the minimal frills and looking at your times I would enjoy the spirited acceleration. Post up some pics when you get a chance.

Congrats on the new Camaro

If its stock on stock tires a 1.94 60ft is pretty good.

Headed back to 1/8th mile track this evening to try a few runs at a better DA. This thing feels like it will be 7.7ish. Will try to post a vid and times. I swapped out rims and tires for 18x11 rear and 18x8 front. Original eagle tires were 20 and too rough on Okie roads.

Congrats on the LT1. I've been looking at them as well as it seems like the best option if you don't plan to do road course / auto X.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

This past Friday was TNT night. First pass was 7.884 at 91.05mph with a 1.812 60’. Rear tires are MT et street R inflated to 20psi. Ran 4 more passes adjusting air up or down and ran 8.01,8.02,8.07, and an 8.09. Went back Saturday to race and test pass at 20psi was 7.941 at 90.53mph (I got there late and only had 1 test pass) 1st round ran a 7.941 at 90.56 mph ( I overthought my dial in due to temp,DA and heatsoak and lost because I put 7.97 for dial in!) bought back in and changed dial in to 7.93, ran a 7.929 and won that round. Last run DA was better so changed dial in to 7.87. Car bogged at launch and ran a 7.92 and lost again. But at least I got to watch a jet dragster run 4.25 @ 200 mph!!!
