A10 Transmission Review

Hey all, Looking at all the people who own the new A10. Looking for reviews of the transmission and how it compares to the A8. Do any of you feel the transition from v4 to v8? How smooth is the transmission in D and M? I own a A8 and looking at tuning it or trading it (and upgrading). So I would like to hear some reviews from people who drive them all the time.

I had an A8 in a '17 Silverado that shifted quick but wasn't great.. It'd clunk coming to a stop and was always rough downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. I traded it for a '20 SS with the A10 and you cant barely tell its shifting in drive cruising, shifts fast and smooth in manual, scary fast in drive floored (faster than with paddles), smooth coming to a stop, gears are spaced perfect imo. I love it so far

I've never had the A8 but as far as the A10, I'm totally impressed with it. Silky smooth and perfectly timed shifts. No regrets here.

A10 is hands down the best tranny I have ever experienced.

I haven't any issues with my A8 yet, but it is very lazy on downshifting; upshifts are quick though. Out of curiosity, is it possible/feasible to swap the A8 for an A10?

I have some issues with my A10. The car is a 2020 ZL1 1LE with 7,500 ish miles on it. 7 track days. I have done all recommended track services including the transmission flush at 1,500 track miles.

The clutches don't seem to hold up to track use. The 4-5 shift (manual shifting) is getting progressively worse. It has an increasingly long delay then a violent engagement that upsets the car under throttle.

This is my 2nd transmission in this car. The 1st one went out in 713 miles with a TCU failure and valve body failure.
