Simple Oil Question

Hi all,

Would appreciate some help and wanted to make a quick post.

It's time for an oil change and I'm under warranty. I believe Mobil1 0W-40 Dexos2 (ESP?) is what I'm looking for, with ACDELCRO PF64 oil filter.

Can someone please confirm these are the correct products and if not send me some links? I don't want to screw up warranty, I worked hard for this car. Any help would be appreciated!

[Oil (store)](https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...B&gclsrc=aw.ds)

[Oil (amazon)](https://a.co/d/2OfTqxa)

0W40 Super car is the bottle you want. Not ESP X3. As yours is a 2023 and would need the Dexos R label to maintain warranty.
You may access this website to see list of Dexos R compliant oils. https://www.gmdexos.com/brands/dexosr/index.html

PF64 is the correct oil filter as per your link. Double check when you receive it to make sure they sent you the correct part.

If you are ever second guessing yourself or in question as what parts to use. Consult your owners manual. It contains all information for your car.

...and another oil thread

OP, follow the owners manual. Your amazon link to the filter and the link to Advance Auto Parts show the correct product, the amazon link to the oil does not.

By the way, visiting a dealer is also an option if warranty is a concern, I tend to recommend building a relationship with a good service department anyway. Not for simple oil changes of course, but you never know when you might need their support.

Not going to fight over Dexos 1 Gen 2, Gen 3, 5w-30 for street use, Dexos 2 being recommended for years, and now Dexos R or imminent catastrophic failure....

Here's the best deal on what you asked for:

https://mobilpromotions.com/summerroadtrip/Redeem

Autozone: Free delivery

10 quarts of 0W-40 ESP X3 (DEXOS 2) + 2 STP filters for $76 (down from $80 recently), minus *I think* two qualifying $10 rebates leaves you at around $56 and some taxes.

10x Part Number 124798 and 2x Part Number S12060XL comes to $80 + tax, free shipping. As others have said in different threads, you can return the STP filters for Delco ones later in-store. this deal should still work but I haven't checked since I bought some in late May.

To the Op, as others have replied go by your owners manual information and you will be fine.

This is the one you originally asked about, green bottle:

https://www.autozone.com/motor-oil-a...rchText=124798

Your advanceauto link is confusing to me, because it says 123875 "ESP" and DEXOS2 in the description with a picture of the new DEXOS R Supercar oil 126870

I don't know what you would get, prob what is pictured, i'm guessing. FWIW, either product is fine in my very humble opinion, but others will pile on and say "DEXOS R or you're gonna throw a rod!"

I think "123875" has been discontinued. 124798 is the ESP X3 Dexos 2 stuff still available and can be found cheaper. 126870 is the new latest/greatest most expensive Dexos R SUPERCAR forumula.
