Alpha down. Cadillac’s ATS sedan will disappear

http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/201...t-return-2019/

Just the 4 door so far. Could 2020 model year be the last for the 6th gen?

Here's hoping for a awesome 7th

The ATS is being replaced with the CT4. The CTS is being replaced with the CT5.

The CT4, CT5 and 7th gen should be on Alpha II.

These naming conventions are getting as bad as Pontiac was at the end.

If Cadillac eliminates or changes anything, it should be their model numbering and lettering system. What a cluster-_ _ _ _.

Why would anyone shop these cars when it's a headache just to figure out what the hell they even are? Go back to recognizable Cadillac model names for Pete's sake.

This ^ I would only get worried if the CT4 or 5 get canned. Then it would be up to camaro to take on a lot of volume.

Ford just made a statement after next year they will only build SUV's, trucks, and the Mustang. Sounds like the world is changing.

I'm not sure why people think the naming convention is confusing. I mean, they'll have a whopping 3 cars to choose from, and the bigger number is the bigger car.

Then again, I fully understand the BMW lineup from just the names, so if you get that, you can get anything.

Pretty easy to see they are trying to mimick BMW's naming. CT4 = 4 series, CT5 = 5 series

And a Chevy ZL1 with the 1LE and the LT4 is any easier to understand?

For the record I also think ZL1 1LE is an awful name as well lol.

ZL1 is fine, because it has history with the car
