the real question is if we can program the ecm from the zr1 to our cars to use the factory pcm for the additional fueling

I am not sure what this means. The HPFP is going to start hitting limits regardless of blower. When it starts dropping you will need to upgrade it.

I started to look into adding an aux pump, but was advised against it, so I took a different path.

Are you saying you would run stock LT1 fuel system to 650whp?

Damn...let's add e85, front crank seal and an oil vent of some sort...

Ok. Completed the order of parts today. Thanks to Ted Jannetty on the assist.

We are essentially going to finish the install with the items to complete the Jannetty Super Street Brawler package:

ZL1 intank pump
LT4 fuel injectors
LT4 hpfp
Voltage booster
E85 sensor
Front crank seal
Gauges afr and boost
Rough idle cam kit
Kooks LT Headers with high flow cats
Forged drop in pistons
We decided that running on e85, we will stay with the 85mm pulley which will put me at bout 9psi.

In all, I would expect to end up in the 700rwhp range through the a8.

Parts should arrive in a couple weeks and then we will probably take a couple weeks to install.

Now the undercover project just got real. I had to start my prep work and start dropping hints, watching videos with the kids, “wouldn’t it be cool if our car sounded like this?”...”There is nothing better than the lope of a cam.”

Phone call with the guys (with wife in earshot, “yeah, I was thinking about dragging it out, but figure out what it will cost if we just do it all now.”...

Subsequent discussion with the wife, “talking to the guys about the work, it really makes sense to do more than I had planned and get the car done now...it will be easier to just get it done and it will make the car much safer...plus, I really want the sound of that cam loping.”

Message conveyed...prep work done...now it’s time.

Next weekend, we may get to run the car in some roll racing event, but really, in a couple months, I can’t wait to get out on a test-n-tune night and see how she does when the transformation is complete.

I would guess on tires I would trap in the 126-127mph range now (Laynlo trapped at 129.9 at this point)...I should be a bit slower since my Vert is heavier. Once done, I would expect a trap in the 137-138 range.

It will certainly be one of the baddest cars around... for cruising to the golf course with the top down.

I don’t think I saw that in the list...not certain though. There were a ton of different parts.

Actually was the first time I've seen it.

When JRE did exactly what I am doing he had 725rwhp on E85 and 9.2psi. Since I am an A8, let’s say our goal is 700rwhp.it should be a very reasonable target.

Ted, Would you feel comfortable going there if he was still on stock pistons?

On a related note, I'm getting ready to load your 2nd tune on my maggie equipped 2ss. I'll send you the datalogs, if it will ever stop raining down here in Georgia that is!

Fuel system in office...came home to find the cam sitting at my front door. Waiting for pistons and headers...then the work begins. I will probably get my HP Tuner setup this weekend and make sure I have backups of the original tune, current tune...

Getting close! I think my wife is disgusted every time I come home and check the front door for a new delivery.

On my own car yes on really good fuel.

Not on a customer car though to many variables.

Ted.
