Are you referring to your TR6060 or the 4L80E?

4L80E. For street, but lots of abuse, I’m on my third set of rear tires at 15k miles and I don’ burn out. Just driving like I stole it.

Yes, its most likely too expensive, but my point is not impossible given the similarities between the ZL1 and 1LE. Further, I am sure if one does any straight line events, the a10 would be significantly quicker than an M6 if it could be retrofitted in a 1LE.
A lot of this is what I'm looking at. While I don't track my car, I do enjoy some spirited runs around some local twisties. I can shift quite well but, having owned an A8 (I even had problems with mine), I can't imagine my 1LE with an A10 and how awesome of a package that would be. I'm really looking hard at alternative transmission setups for my car, even though I love the manual transmission and have generally owned manual vehicles for the last 20+ years.

RPM indicates you need to call them for power ratings, however, here is a link to Monster Transmissions which will give you an idea of their power options for a 4L80E. As earlier noted, the are using a third party TCM to make these work. I believe its a Holley/MSD TCM.

I've been a manual guy starting back from the 60's. I am old now and my health and reflexes have diminished. When I bought my 1LE having not had any performance cars in quite a few years, I was intending to go road racing with it. However, the age/health issues have changed that plan, so want to go back to some straight line events, although being able to launch and shift the M6 and compete with a8/a10 cars would be a challenge. I get the arguments of cost and interface problems against retrofitting an a10, but selling my car and taking a bath, and buying an a10 ZL1 would cost quite a bit as well. I do not know if the BCM can be unlocked in the future and made to interface or not, but remember the 17+ ECUs needed extra credits to unlock and the a8 TCM's also required extra effort to unlock and tune. That makes me think this could be possible at some point in time. However, if it could be done, I still would have concerns about running an a10 with the 3.73 eLSD, and replacing the rear with a ZL1 pumpkin would add even more cost, so this is really a pipe dream, but it would be an interesting combination. That said, I've learned over a lifetime not to dismiss anything as being impossible.

for me it is justifying the cost with the comptroller of the corporation.... aka the oldlady, she has no idea what I spend on car parts... but she has a good idea how much a new car cost. Lastly, for me say these 4L80E run $4000 with converter and brain
https://animalperformancetransmissio...-beast-1200-hp

That really is not too bad, as a new ZL1 is about $40K over the resale value of my ride. and I would still be modding the ZL1 too..

It would literally be easier to get a ZL1 A10 and add the ZL1-1LE parts to it to get this accomplished than it would be to swap a SS 1LE M6 to a A10. As said, it isnt just the transmission stuff that would need to be changed. The ancillary parts would be as bad as the transmission and a ton of tear down and reverse engineering along with still needing to overcome the programming side.

And if you think it is "that easy" to crack the ECM/TCM/BCM programming I suggest you talk with HP Tuners before hand. It isnt easy as I am betting companies like HP Tuners and EFi Live both had to throw some serious money to some programmers from GM/Ford/Dodge to even begin to crack some of the software. GM has partnered with some of the companies for tuning help on projects and at one time Livernois had access to the actual GM calibration software for a project they worked on with GM.

If it was me I would just get a Camaro SS A8/A10 and sway as many of the 1LE parts over to the car as possible, the only thing you wouldnt be able to swap is the eLsd, in reality though not many people are going to be able to push the car hard enough to where the eLsd will make a huge difference in their track times.

I've been curious about this as well, doesn't seem like its happening anytime soon. I would love to swap a 10 speed into my 6.2L supercharger raptor, as the new ecoboosts (which I have no interest in) come with the 10 speed, and even my 2012 SS but it seems like if it happens it will be a while.
