Mine stays at 195-ish if I remember correctly, the digital gauge only shows an approximation anyway.

208 degrees at idle, assuming outside temperature wasn't something crazy like 130+, is definitely not normal and indicates a problem. Check your coolant levels first, and if low, check hoses, the oil dipstick, white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipes, the usual suspects.

Behind someone? Eating their exhaust, closed in space, hot asphalt, ambient, etc... could be "normal"

For some reason I thought 212-215 was full open?

this was after a drive today and letting it idle for a couple minutes at home to see what it does. looking at the gauge on the dash it dont seem hot but the digital one does.

starting to wonder if the digital one is not reading right.
it was only 83 degree's today

Are the fans running? A/C on? If no, do fans run with A/C on?

Car parked and idling after a full temp drive, it will go up to 200+ degrees . The digital guage is the most sensitive and most accurate

Seems normal to me! In my honest opinion you don’t have an issue with your Camaro.

Yeah, I probably should have remained quiet, my car isn't stock. BTW by "digital gauge" I meant the gauge in the cluster screen, not the numeric temperature display (that my 2018 doesn't have anyway).
