It's out of warranty - do whatever makes you happy, life is too short for anything less.

Go ahead and modify it, I’m sure the next owner will enjoy the free upgrades.

What's your goal? Are you treating it like an investment or do you just care about bragging rights? Unless you're a collector with plenty of other fun cars to enjoy and a place to stash this one without taking up much space, it wouldn't be the route I'd choose. If you're treating it like an investment you're basically guaranteed to get better (and faster) ROI by selling it and putting that money in traditional investments. I just don't see it pulling Yenko money 40 years from now if that's what you're after. I say drive it more and mod away or sell it and invest.

If you look at the examples of the modern Mopars selling at the auctions, the Hellcats are the only ones bringing in the big numbers and will probably hold their value best. I would speculate that the ZL1 1LE models would be most desirable because of the rarity and limited numbers. The "anniversary" packages were all about decals and appearance only, nothing that will skyrocket in the future.

I was tempted to mod my car but now find true pride at shows that it is completely stock

Here is an example of a very rare Camaro that old recently, a 1997 30th anniversary with low miles https://carsandbids.com/auctions/30l...ersary-edition, it sold for 32k. Which for a 4th gen F-body is big money, but looking at the pictures they paid 42k!!! So even though its an extremely rare and well kept car, they lost 10k in value, not to mention spending 42k in 1997 would have been the equivalent of spending 78k in todays money. Only a handful of cars ever will beat inflation and or say the s&p 500 index. Its best to enjoy the car as it was meant to be used.
Even a very rare and collectable car isn't a great investment in most cases. I owned a '69 Boss 429 Mustang from '79 - '05. Even though it was a six figure car in '05, if you do the math, I would have done as well or better in any garden variety index fund.

I think you should spend money on the car you actually drive.
If tuning the Camaro will make you drive it, I would think induction would be the place to start, not headers/exhaust.

This ^^^. Unless you are privy to buying limited edition cars from Ferrari, or can get your hands on a Koenigsegg or a Pagani or a Bugatti. Most cars will be long-term losers.

Sounds like having a trophy wife and not banging her. But I'm sure the next guy will!

My 2022 is 8 months old, has 8k on it, and gets driven rain or shine. Cars are terrible investments, but fun to drive.

The next owner is going to beat you up on price, then drive the piss out of the car. Don't let him have fun on your money.

Yeah but you can't finger or hug your index fund.
