with these, are you guys leaving them on after you use them? seems like the screws suggest these are meant to be left on long term but seems a little risky especially for track duty. people having good luck with loc-titing the threads and leaving them on? or does that seem a little weird to everyone?

thanks!

matt
I used loc tight and left them on, no problems and really convenient at the track for swapping tires

Alternative to ZL1Addons and much cheaper. Been on my car for over 6 months without a problem.

I know this is an old thread, but i'd suggest getting some of these longer set screws and using loctite for anyone using the ZL1 jack pads. The screws that come with them leave barely any of the body of the set screws in the actual blocks when you tighten them all the way. Added piece of mind IMO.

👍👍 I’m gonna order those. It always bugged me how short the screws were, didn’t seem like enough threads making contact

+1 to this. If you don't use loctite, check them after +1 week and +1 month and re-tighten as needed.

It's because the convertibles have some additional braces on the underside that interfere with the standard lift blocks.

Lift blocks are available for convertibles. The ones for a convertible have one side milled down a bit to clear the brace.

Here is a photo of one made to fit a convertible. Notice one side has been milled lower.

Well hell, and here I thought this whole time it was cool to lift half the car up with 1 floor jack from one corner only.
Jk. I purchased the bolt in kit from the approved vendor. I wouldn’t trust anything on Amazon unless its from the store of a trusted vendor and not some knock off cheap Chinese copy.

I've been wondering the same thing. I use jack stands religiously to be safe, but where would you put them on this car?
