Changing my cam ! What cams do you recommend!

Car is not really making the power I really want. 479hp
setup :vvt-3 cam , ported MSD stock TB, rotofab dry filter , 2in headers , 4c Circle D.

What cams do y’all know that make good power with a similar setup . Im getting a ported 95mm as well . But will be added after the dyno to see if there’s any improvement. 10.8@126 is my PB .

From my experience (and I'm having a valve ticking issue right now so..)
1) get better than LS7 lifters. which I think I'm having an issue with
2) stud the heads...
3) get the bigger fuel lobe even NA (my opinion from diesel racing)
4) I like the Cam Motion VVT single bolt setup..
5) I went with a small cam that could be used for both NA and supercharger, I wish I would have gone with a cam that had overlap for the aggressive idle. Not really a power issue FI, but for NA 112 or closer LSA is going to bring a lot more midrange in any build.
6) I would change the rod bolts to ARP cause your rev range will be to 7000 RPM... easy to do.

Yup get rid of the LS7 lifters. Not sure why these vendors are even recommending those spongy ass lifters with stage 3 cams. Well actually I can tell you why, it's because they have Soo much travel that precise lifter preload via correct push rod length isn't a issue. The lifter will soak up the variances. The problem is they do not like high rpm combined with aggressive cam lobes and higher spring rates. Sure they work find on mild lobe cams with beehive springs and lifts under .600. for anything else look at Johnson 2110.

All that being said my personal choice would be to hit Cam Motion up.

I should have said
1) work with your tuner, I went with Pray on my heads, blower and cam, he knows his stuff, I was going 416 and he had a lot of suggestions there too. I went with Cunningham on my current craziness. He is also super.
2) If this is now a hobby, I'd do the rod bolts at the same time (don't know how good the rods are). OR just do aftermarket rods and pistons... you are at that range IMO.

most guys drop the pan to get the chain off, it can be done without doing so. If you do drop the pan: change to a C5R chain and do the rod bolts, IMO it will be needed for the rev, I wish I did it and I can't say it is bothering me, I can say that I get worried about 6800 RPM shifts and your cam will take that up 400 RPM or so.

I'm personally blown away at how you only made 479whp with that cam. And that's with the understanding that every dyno is different. I hope whatever you were on was a huge heartbreaker dyno. Whatever the case may be, I would have said to get a VVT3 cam from TSP but, you already have that. Consider getting their 4.2 cam that they don't readily advertise for our cars. Or, hit up GPI and Pray. They both have cams that are hurting feelings out there. While you're at it, ask them for feedback on your setup and why you made the power you did in the first place.

Yea man I was shocked , im still missing the TB and pulley but still 126 trap speeds. No weight reduction and I weight 245. So I’m changing cam , adding the
95mm and shooting for a 10.5@130+

GPI is good stuff. I thought they used Cam Motion cores? Pray is my guy but the only reason why I didn't mention him is because he is backed up and not taking on anymore work till after Camaro fest.

I believe Prays cams are all TSP cores with his specs.
