This is where I see the throttle commander as a positive. When you have an automatic, adjusting the driver demand tables for more throttle response causes a lot of negative effects on shift point and shift quality. It doesnt just change the throttle response.

Got this installed yesterday, all I can say is WOW! I got the adjuster knob to control it from 0-100%. At 100% it is so aggressive off idle the traction control light keeps coming on...LOL! Can't wait until I put the DR's on it & make a hit at the drag strip. Also I still have ZERO tune done yet. Waiting to get other mods done & then use my HPtuners to put in a custom tune.

I had the same reaction. I also can't believe why more people don't know about this thing. It doesn't require a tune, it's adjustable on the fly and it actually works (no CELs either). Money well spent I would say.

Is this the same as the vitesse throttle controller? Does anyone buy these for manuals or mainly just for automatics? I find this makes it very hard to drive smoothly, and 2 is the highest setting that feels comfortable, then I have to baby the pedal in 1st and 2nd. But it is sd till on the car haha.

If you do a search on the Vitesse it looks like most people have more complaints than the JMS PedelMax

I saw some people saying it made shifting easier and smoother. Well the good thing is it is fully adjustable either way

All my searching on youtube, and I cant find one single video of a before and after install of this thing, or anything similar. Can someone with this device show the difference it makes to throttle response? Does it make the car rev down much quicker as well?

Sounds like it does the same thing as the Vitesse Throttle Controller (VTC). I have had the VTC installed in my car since about 10K miles. I'm now at 54K miles with no issues and no CELs (ever). I know lots of folks who tried the VTC have had CELs and the consensus seems to be that it could be tied to not fully depressing the accelerator pedal during the initial calibration procedure.

For me...I love mine and run it on P4 or P5 all the time. I'm sure the PedalMax is a great product and those who install it will almost surely like how it can transform the driving experience!

I installed the Soler Performance Throttle Controller instead. Easy install and fully customisable as for the throttle response. This pretty little thing puts a smile on my face every time I press the gas pedal. The throttle should have come adjusted like this from the factory.
