Once it shudders, it will not get any better. The flushes and tuning can mask it for a while but it will come back. The only fix ive seen is the new 2018 updated converter that has the friction plate riveted in instead of welded in. the welding was causing warping and caused the shudder over time. we shall see

I read about the shudder before I got mine and was ready for it. I had it happen pulling in my neighborhood a couple of times the first 2 weeks of owning it. At 1000 miles I took it to the track and since then drive it pretty hard daily through the gears and at 13k miles I've not felt it again after those two times. Hopefully chevy gets a fix before these cars start getting out of powertrain warranty. Seems the only real fix is a tune and a converter which kind of sucks.

So here is the question nobody seems to know... Whst is the new part number for the "updated" TC?

If they changed the design it should have a new part number right?

ok I have the shudder I think it feels like I'm running over rumble strips right? it doesn't happen everytime I drive the car! also I had the flush done a few months ago since then I have what seems like the car slips out of drive and revs up? would this be the tc issue?

That would be it. You feel something like going over rumble strips and soon as you feel it it’s gone just that fast. You may not feel it again on that drive or even that trip but you’ll feel it again.
I thought maybe I had a flat or rumble strip or just bad pavement.
This said, take it in so they can do what they do. I’m fighting cold weather moving in so my days of driving are becoming limited so I’m driving to work which I normally don’t do, anything to get miles to see how it holds up.

Interesting...do you by chance know the part # of that 2018 converter?

Based on my previous post, this may or may not be true. My car went in for a triple flush, still had very little shuddering and was brought in again for a triple flush. Since then, I've put 10,000+ miles on the vehicle and can't feel a thing.

I don’t drive my car often so when I felt it or noticed it, it was a couple of months ago but the shudder only occurred maybe four times. My dealership said they hadn’t replaced a torque converter to date and the trans and line flushes along with the new additive seemed to have taken care of the problem. I’ve been driving the hell out of mine since and no shutter, no nothing except great shifting under all operating conditions and situations. I’m not even getting the hard shifts I was told could happen while the car was in a relearning process. Alls good this far....

The good news is I picked up my car up today, the dealer replaced the torque converter and all the shudder between 40 and 60 is gone!!!

I was also told that I may experience hard shifts until the transmission relearns, but from the moment I took the car off the lot the shifting is very smooth and no more shudder.

I am most likely going to do a tune now and zero out all the slip tables.

Good news story here.
