You mean Ethanol free my friend. Here's all you need to know. Unless you have an E85 specifically tuned vehicle:
- Ethanol basically sucks, and ruins everything if left long term. - Ethanol free gas is better, ergo more expensive. - Daily use of Ethanol fuel is okay, but when I store for winter it will be with 100% gas.

So I will digress on this question.
when storing a vehicle and putting stabil in. do you fill up say 5 gallons? or fill almost full with stabil (both instances) I normally store my car mid October till first of April.

Ethanol is only "cheap" due to heavy subsidy used to pay for it.
No subsidy and ethanol would... all but evaporate. Takes more energy to produce than it generates... stupid.

Read the bottle for the correct mix. In short, you don’t chuck your fuel tank full with 18 gallons of stabil. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Ethanol is the proverbial shit. I hear people say it doesn’t make much of a difference on an otherwise stock car, but those people are smoking crack. Night and day difference...and the torque!
My dad’s stock C7 Vette with the 7M made 442/471 and I made 482/503 on a Dynocom. Same day and everything. |

I think he meant if you add Stabil to your tank for storage, do you add it to roughly 5 gallons of gasoline in the tank (aka 1/4 tank of fuel) or to a full tank of fuel. It is best to store a vehicle with a full tank as it lessens the amount and chances of moisture buildup in the fuel tank. |

To put it as simple as possible - fuel that is 10% ethanol is like it is 10% "air". Yea, it burns but it provides less power per gallon than the same fuel that is 100% gasoline.
Where I live (Minnesota) you can buy 91 octane that is E10 and non-oxy, the non-oxy makes more power, gets more mileage and runs cooler in my car. However it is hard to find, and it is priced like race gas. I grew up in Michigan and take a trip there once a year and in my truck the last several years I can fill up at home and drive there, I have to get gas 40-50 miles from my destination. On the way back on non-oxy fuel (easy to find in MI) and I can make it all the way home without stopping. Has happened 7 or 8 times over the years. |

Opinion on alcohol free gas.. 93 and 98 grade
Once again, the answer is the same. Follow the directions on the bottle that you are using.
For Stabil, yes the directions state to fill it up and then add Stabil, as directed, based on the amount of due on the tank. Other products, that also work, have different directions. RTFM and you’ll be fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
