Alarming noise... input?

Hi folks. I have a 2019 ZL1 that has what I can only describe as metal on metal grinding noise that I can hear on moderate acceleration. It's not incredibly loud by any stretch, but it's noticable. Here's the kicker... with the stock air box on the sound is not producible. With the aftermarket intake on, it is clear as day. This has me worried that it is an engine issue as opposed to a NPP valve or wheel bearing issue (just brainstorming).

Any thoughts?

I'll do that when I get a chance, thanks.

I have a new theory and there is some evidence I may be correct. I was thinking one of the clamps on the after market intake may be contacting metal and vibrating. I inspected the clamps and one of them indeed has wear marks/scratching.

what does it sound like when you run the car using the factory box but without the factory element (leave open)?

you might have and issue with the supercharger.

Good point stock air box might be muffling the Supercharger. I would suggest that you get it looked at.
