Is there a performance shop around you? It seems like NOVA would have one or two reputable shops dedicated to track/autox prep. You may have to find a track/autox group in your area, but they will know for sure. There's one a few miles from me down here in Raleigh, and I'm going there Friday to have 305/30-19 mounted all around. It's a little more expensive, about $250 for mount/balance/alignment, but it's well worth it to go to guys who have the knowledge and care about doing it right.

I have found a number of them who have the equipment, but when I mention I have the tires......no we don't that for customer provided tires!

The Tire Shop in Leesburg has Hunter equipment. I had my ZL1 done there and was happy with the outcome.

that sucks...There's a shop here in Mechanicsville that's about a 45 mile ride south that can do it. Rick's tire and auto...804-559-0240. Tell them Stephen sent you with the ZL1...they know me well. They have a touchless machine and road force balancer.

Does anyone know of any brick/mortar national chain tire shop that uses the touchless tire changer and road force balancing equipment. Or any members in northern VA, who can recommend a reputable establishment. Thanks in advance!

NTB - Doesn't
Goodyear - Doesn't
Firestone - Doesn't

Check out Kar Tunes in Sterling. I stopped by the shop today and they have the right equipment. Quoted around 200 for 4 wheels mounted and balanced...

I emailed Hunter Engineering and got a response from their Northern VA sales representative and he provided two local repair shops that have their equipment.

Yeah a shop with hunter mounting and balancing equipment that has people who know how to operate the equipment without up-charge hard to find in this area. I always ask to get road force balanced to 5lbs if possible. Norther Va Curry's shops was a go to for lots of performance car owners. Unfortunate Curry's got sold a couple years ago to a national chain. Last time I stopped in at one of the old Curry's shops the operators had lost the wheel hub adapter to the automated mounting machine.

Let us know who you find and if they got you balanced without marring your wheel finish.

Surprisely they are both family owned businesses in Stafford, VA. I would have never guessed that either of them, would have invested in Hunter equipment. Doesn't say much about the large, national tire/repair shops that don't invest in modern, top of the line equipment.

These guys are pretty awesome. I've used them twice in the Charlotte area and they are in other cities. It is basically $50 more than discount tire and they come to you. I like drinking a beer while they change my tires in my driveway.

I take mine to BMW with the hunter machine. Works great that machine. I also just bring the rims and old tires. They have the news one waiting for me. No one touches my car and it’s better for all involved.

WOW, I was gonna go here for my next oil change since I work 5 minutes from here. Guess Not
