I LOVE the fact its sort of an obscure car. (Any recent camaro to be honest)
Im in MI so sports cars are for the most part warm weather toys unless you’re talking about chargers/challengers and thats a whole diff topic for a diff time. I drive a lot for business and I see maybe 1-2 ZL1’s all year. I would see prob 2-5 new gt500’s a month. Mustangs in general multiple every day. I just dont see camaros in general. It makes sense from what some of the production numbers have been. Honestly I see exotics more than camaros by me lol. In a sea of cars its kinda cool to have something that doesn’t get seen very often. Ill give ya’ll an update next spring (fingers crossed It actually gets built and I take possession). |

My 1970 VW Beetle that is stock/modded gets more attention and thumbs up than my 2017 ever has even at car shows! Lol...

Yesterday at the car wash there was a guy next to me in a very nice Lexus spots sedan. Thought he’d want to shoot the sh, but no suck luck.

BTW while there's a good turnout of 6th gens here a couple miles southwest of Knoxville, I see a whole lot more 5th gens, both with mostly lower trims. Maybe those [rich] ZL1 owners are all in Farragut or something

I know the ZLE's I saw were around Kingston Pike / Papermill area, with a couple more out on Ball Camp at different times. So probably out west yeah.

Sounds like Knoxville has it going on.

Not really too much attention. 40-50k cars are kinda the normal price of cars now adays. I get props from car guys wspecially when the see the intercooler but nothing out of the ordinary.
A lot more when I had my 2016 GT but that may be due to it being ‘vert or the color (black). A little girl once asked here mom if it was a Lamborghini. Made my day. When i go out in the Chevelle it’s another story. Literally 20 thumbs up to the grocery store. |

Yesterday I drove my car to the office which a rarely do. Pulling into the parking lot a had to get on the throttle hard to make it past traffic. Anyhow, I walk into the office, and some employees immediately tell me they really like my car. We’re on the 3rd floor so I’m assuming they heard the exhaust and looked outside the window.

Today I caught a glimpse in the side mirror of the passenger in a car behind me and to the left (waiting to make a turn) sticking their phone out the window to take a picture or video of mine while I was pulling away from the light. Gave it a little bit extra welly in case it was a video. Then had an admirer asking me about it while I was filling up a little bit later. A couple of days ago it was an older man in a Camry who was asking if it was a Charger (thanks, Chevy marketing) and telling me how he wanted a Mustang. I told him to go for a Camaro instead

Mine does get some, too. Driver of a black Challenger just the other day, people in parking lots or at gas stations.
Camaros are somewhat surprisingly popular here, tons of 5th gens and fewer, but still a remarkable number of 6th gens, many of them with female drivers

I've had my car for a year now but its just a weekend toy / track car. I drove it to work once, only cause a few other car guys wanted to see it. Besides that, unless I'm out and about it in, I'll usually get a few people in regular cars/mini vans wanting to check it out. At the same time, I ALWAYS seem to get the v6 model sports cars wanting to race. That or the base V8 guys with the loudest exhaust known to man wanting a go.
I did recently take it to a funeral of a coworker a few months back. Didn't think much of it but the next day apparently the talk of the day was "who's brings a race car to a funeral" lol |
