Indeed, as soon as my summer tires wore out, I replaced them with A/S, because summer tires really really suck on rainy cool days here in NE. But still, the Camaro is in hibernation during salt season.

I have a winter beater with heated seats, which get used when the temperature is, like, below 20 F. That's not often. Wish I had a heated steering wheel, though.

I will say in Texas with leather interior in the summer, it makes a difference. It definitely sucks without them.

Cooled seats I can live without, heated seats are a must in NY climate as it does get very cold here in the fall/winter months and if I'm spending upwards of $30k on a vehicle, I would expect it to be included.

Agreed. My 2SS Convertible is having the tires replaced (Conti DWS06+) before I take delivery. It's a requirement for me. There will be plenty of early spring mornings where it's 25-30 degrees in the AM, but will warm up to 50-60 in the afternoon.

It's a shame that GM doesn't offer an all-season alternative on the SS-trim for their customers in the north.

It's an oxymoron.
Heated seats are great when leaving the garage with a female family member in 45-50 degree weather, which is just fine for PS4S summer tires and proper throttle (self-)control. Please don't troll.

I used to think that cooled seats were a gimmick that I would never need, until I finally started using them in my 2LT on a scorching Florida summer afternoon. Having your sweaty nads cooled after a brutal workout is heavenly. I need not mention the benefits of heated seats on middle-age backs and muscles. If only they could add some rollers and massage features to the car, I'd never had to leave it.

Leather seats and summer weather is a must for cooled/ventilated seats. I would not own a vehicle that has leather without it. Being up here in winter land, heated seats is also a must.

Not being critical, but, just FYI, the Camaros are heated / vented seats not heated / cooled. My 15 Silverado HD has heated / cooled seats, but, then they saved money in 16 by changing back to just heated / vented. My truck's seats do noticeably more to "cool" than the Camaro's seats. Though, personally, I would miss the heat function way more than the vented or cooled function.

2015
"Each heated/cool seat has 2 blower assemblies, one located under the seat cushion and one located in the seat back. Each blower assembly contains a thermo-electric device (TED) and a blower motor. The TED is mounted downstream of the blower motor. Each TED consists of a circuit of positive and negative connections sandwiched between 2 ceramic plates. Each ceramic plate is equipped with copper fins for cool exchange. The air flowing past these fins is directed as conditioned air into the seat cushion and seat back or directed into the cabins waste air."

2016
"Each vented seat system consists of 2 blower motors; one in the seat back and one in the seat cushion. During vented seat operation, the vented seat blower motors move cabin air through channels in the foam pad and small holes in the seat covers causing a cooling effect to the occupant."

I totally agree. Particularly since there are high performance all season tires available that, for most people, would be as effective as summer tires. You would have to be an autocross fanatic to find any difference.

Plus, I can attest that, on a prepped drag strip, my BFG A/S tires yield the same results as the original P-Zeros.

From my experience vented seats are terrible in a C7 . Compared to AC seats in a suburban/ram I own. Actually cools vs doesn’t do much on a really hot day.
