2019 "DeathWatch" Build Update
2019 will be a big step forward for the "DeathWatch" Camaro (Star Wars reference)
Quite a few changes... Staying 2.3 Magnuson, 9.77 lower, Heads, Cordes 5" Intake, Steven Rankins Stage 1 Trans, and 15". Kaizenspeed will again handle the build/tuning. We have a few tricks and things we will try as we reach for deep 8's and if they DO work I will happily release everything to the community.

A few quick updates:
Skipping the 416, just too much a budget swing to make this happen. I don't think a 2300R is in the cards for me either. We will be doing SPS Cylinder Heads, Cordes 5'' Intake, Steven Rankins / Mass Acceleration Motorsports Stage 1 A8, 9.77 lower (from a 9.17), and some methanol adjustments (more direct). On top of this....I will have a Nitrous Outlet system on tap depending on where we end up on boost alone. I update much more frequently on my instagram. Car should be done by end of February. Ask questions away!

No clue on boost level. It can change based on so many things and comparing it to other PD blowers can be maddening. We will be at a 23,700 blower rpm if my math is correct. Max blower rpm is 24,000.
Power I am not sure of in terms of aiming for. I want to hit an ET of 8.9 with full weight 2SS and non skinny fronts

I love it. It’s nice to see someone really pushing one of these cars. Have you give any consideration for a TH400 with a brake? I bet you would be close to your goal and never have to worry about the trans again.

Gotta remember I am a private individual with relatively modest income. So something as exotic as a th400/9” rear is out of the realm of feasibility. I am not sponosored, no YouTube, etc. Also frankly I would choose a different chassis before I ever went th400. I enjoy going to coast with wife in the car, cruising it around, etc. Its got a mild cam in it because I didnt want to go aggressive on the shaking/push through haha.

Mmmm goodies.... Cordes 5” arrived. Really awesome to know how much testing he put through these pieces as well as literally swapping them back and forth with other brands for comparison. Happy to continue to support him.

Kind of a surprise move but I was happy to collaborate with SPS for a set of heads, ferrera valves, and some milling... I think its going to be scary how much power I will pick up just from these. I had bone stock LT1’s this whole time.
