The other choice is to find all of the parts that make the 1le package (shocks, struts, sways, gears, etc) and buy a better aftermarket parts. It is easy to surpass the oem stuff from vendors on the forum.

1LE Diff (3.91) - 22806794
1LE 3.91 Gears only - 22813040 (fits SS and V6 manual)
1LE LH Axle - 22806795
1LE RH Axle - 22806796
1LE Front Sway Bar - 22812946
1LE Front Sway End Link (passenger side) - 22842515
1LE Front Sway End Link (drivers side) - 22842516
1LE Rear Sway Bar - 22786260 (same as ZL1, comes with brackets and bushings)
1LE Rear Sway Bar Endlink (2) - 22761221
1LE Rear Sway Bar Bracket Bolt (4) - 11518623
1LE/ZL1 Wheels 20x10 Black - 22798741
1LE/ZL1 Wheels 20x11 Black - 22798743
1LE/ZL1 Hubs - 22924741 (x2)

Finally get a tranny from texas speed or wherever with the ZR1 stuff.

Spending close to $50k is stupid for a SS, you say? I wonder for the people that own an SS and add ZL1 parts on it, falls into this category that you speak about. I won't even comment on you just mentioning male genitals in a car thread. You get the "donkey of the day" award for that. Congrats man!

Im pretty upset that the zl1 stole so many body panels from the ss and v6 which were first. How am I suppose to stand apart from some pretentious zl1 owners to the general public?

Although I have a ZL1 fascia and wheels, I think it is Chevy's best interest to make the parts exclusive to ZL1 owners. I mean it would help their ZL1 sales. People would be like "damn i need to save up for a ZL1" instead of "damn I just need that bumper and i'm good." Just make it so that a vin is needed to get the ZL1 parts. While getting the parts of other models is cool, it takes away the exclusivess that the ZL1 owners deserve. If I paid so much money for a ZL1 I would feel the same way as the op.

Why is this man being verbally attacked for stating his opinion? Last I checked it was cool to write your opinions (oh ya unless they're different). Just like liberals that champion free speech and then cuss someone out cause they like the second amendment. Some of you dudes need to seriously lighten up.

I have a Camaro. Who do I need to get approval from before I buy and install my mods?

I was hoping to add GM leatherette down the length of my center console to match the console lid next week. None of the models have that stock. Is that ok?

I was also hoping to buy the hot wheels edition flat black tail light bezels when they become available instead of painting mine flat black. Is that ok?

I need to know who approves these things. The guy behind the counter at my dealership may ask for my authorization papers.

Your request must be submitted to the "5th Gen Camaro SS LS LT General Discussions" thread for the general members of this Forum to either accept(praise) or deny (ridicule) your choice of considered mods. You should also place a thread in each subforum that is related for each mod you are considering so you can get as many professional suggestions as to alternatives and proper installation. Once you have at least a 75% approval from the minimum 100 members, proceed to print out your results to submit to authorized vendor*.

* - repeat process to get approval papers to submit to approved vendors from members.

If this process is not satisfactory to meeting your needs, submit authorization request to sell Camaro.
