I taped mine off with some painters tap and plasti dipped them black for $5 and they have held up over time and nobody can tell the difference. Just an alternate option if you don't feel like getting ripped off on new badges.

Vinyl is also an option too. I purchased mine precut from Amazon and they look just like the ones that GM offers. Had it on for almost a year now with no issues.

Plastidip was easy.... tapped the rear bow tie and removed the front one, separated the entire thing black let it set and cure, 2 days later I decided I wanted the chrome back and peeled it off, Holds up perfectly to pressure washing and all.
