GEN 4 2.9 Whipple

So a few answers for a few questions:

We added a GEN 4 Whipple (clarification from Dustin) Same 2.9 New Rotor Design from the 3.0 unit. 3.25/9.17 Resulted in 18psi.

We also added an ice tank which has been the golden ticket to this whole setup. -10 Lines from the tank right to the blower and back.

IAT is 103-110.

Car is on pump and meth.

The results:

767/768
+72/+73 Wheel over the ported LT4 blower.
-.3 ET / + 7MPH.
9.74 @ 143 1.47 60’ 114 1/8th.

The shop has some documentation that this new GEN 4 blower is worth another +25 wheel over the previous unit.

Definitely has a 9.5x in it with an improvement in the 60’

No cam, no heads, no interchiller (&#128514

Not gonna mention the R word this time but we are not aware of a faster ZL1 with the stock engine.

Might be looking at a trip north for some good air and more testing.

A special thank you to Howard Tanner of Redline Motorsports for his time and effort into getting this car dialed in. Also thank you to Whipple Superchargers for getting us this unit for testing.

Off to OSW tomorrow to show those Cadillac boys what’s up 💪

I'm trying to build a similar setup, 100% stock engine with fueling (except voltage booster on lpfp) with a whipple and trunk tank setup/larger H/X. I'm trying to stay 100% 93oct with no meth. I'm starting out with 3.5" upper and 9.10" lower.

I was kinda expecting bigger numbers from your setup dyno wise, but those times/traps are amazing. Ultimately, I'd take those 9's over an 800whp dyno any day.

Also, how can I tell what blower version I have? I bought it like 3 months ago.

The car has a 9.60 in it. Now to work on the suspension.

How can you tell if you have a Gen 3 or Gen 4 whipple?

I’m wondering what a cam with an increased fuel lobe will do for you? Any upgrades to the low side fueling?

The fittings that I'm looking for are the ones that goes to the crossover, not the hose ends.
