Losing Throttle on 3rd to 4th shift WOT

Looking for some assistance here I have been chasing down a problem that I thought was my transmission .. However I was failing to look at the basics.

@ WOT on my 3rd to 4th shift my pedal position is still reading 99.6% Throughout the whole pull Throttle Position Relative throttle position and commanded all read properly until the 3rd to 4th shift when pedal position is still 99.6% but the rest drop 52.2% Throttle position 33.7% Relative and 44.7% commanded.

Now The reason I initially thought it was the trans slipping was because the RPMs are flaring up then falling back into place as I hold 4th gear after the shift .. 4th gear is what I finish the 1/4 mile in without a shift to 5th gear..

I wasnt even looking at the basics like throttle position until i cleared my PIDs and starting using the basic ones again I was watching all my trans PIDs and I was getting slip however after research the slip makes sense because the TPS is telling the trans im only at 50% throttle ish so its no making the pressure it needs..

So being as this is not happening in the 1>2>3 shifts is this a tuning issue or a bad TPS. I thought maybe it was some sort of ECT cutoff but cannot find any tables the represent Throttle position to ECT temps.

looking for your thoughts

Sounds more like the trans is in fact slipping and causing torque management event.

Ted.

Thanks Ted appreciate the input means alot! I did re-apply my stock trans tune and reset the learning but it didnt make a diff. Its just odd because if I run out 4th gear from a lower RPM there is no slip it only happens on the high RPM shift from 3rd to 4th.

Does your predicted tq number always exceed your actual tq number? Axle tq and engine tq
I had the throttle close on me due to a spike in tq due to tq setting being to close. If you changed virtual tq settings, make sure you changed them all for the different cam degrees.
