I talked to a service rep at Stonebriar Chevy, we sat in the car with the AC running and we could feel a slight bit of cold air around the front window defog vent, he agreed with me it should not do this. When I have them change my oil they will look at it. I don't drive the car much, so it may be some time before the oil gets changed.

Ya this happens a lot on mine I noticed. Never had it happen as frequent or as bad as it does in the Camaro. Really annoying as like everyone said it's hot as hell in Texas and we need our A/C.

Fogging windshield

Dealer has looked at mine twice. Service rep last Saturday morning argued with me and says it's normal. My salesman and another employee there seen it and said no that's not normal.

It's Florida, it's hot, and I can't run the ac below 75 degrees on the dual climate control or it does this. Especially as soon as you pull up to a red light. Forget idling while waiting for your wife to run in to use the restroom at a gas station. The whole windshield fogs up by that time.

Mines done it since day 1...but with dew points in the upper 60's and lower 70's it's just condensation. When dew points drop a bit it doesn't do it

Yes, the AC flow bleeds up onto the windshield. GM vehicles (well, all vehicles I've owned) have done this for years. When it's really humid it's easy for the window to get condensation on it with even mildly cold air blowing on it.

I'm going to find something to cover the vents to control the air leakage, I've tried a shop rag but the color reflection didn't work. I have some other things to try later today. When I get something that works, I'll let you guys know.

Thanks for your research. I wish gm would address this. I don't buy that all gm vehicles do this. My old 03 blazer has ice cold air. It has 100,000 miles on it and I can idle or stop at red lights and my windshield doesnt fog up. My brand new 52k camaro I literally have to turn the temperature up over 75 degrees and hope I don't sit at a red light for more than 2 minutes or it fogs up.

The 3 GMs I've owned never did it either. Is there a way to seal the vents with some kind of clear flexi dip product?

My GTO did this. My G8 GT did this. My Terrain did this. My Malibu did this. My Flex does this.

It's just air bleed. Just like when you have the system off you still feel air flow through the vents.

Is it annoying? Yup. Highly.

I played with this at lunch today.

How many of you guys are setting the temp to LO? If you are that is part of the problem. The car will attempt to get the inside of the car to below 60. Doing that will cause the air to condensate on ANY window as I pointed my door vents on the door.

I set the temp to 68 and the condensation started to disappear without it getting any warmer in the car. It's one of the annoying things about the auto temperature in new cars now.

Seems like anything below 74 does it in mine. :/ Also I'm not using the auto temp and it does it anyways.

Well, it doesn't have to be "auto" for the car to try and stay at that temp that you are set at. The auto will change the vents and fan speed.

Of course, YMMV with the temp depending on outside humidity and temperature (we just had a huge thunderstorm roll thru so it was about 77 and 92% humidity).
