Procharged SS breaking up

So I bought stage2 p1x full kit with tune from procharger. I installed the kit, I initially had some problems with the tune from procharger the car was throwing a check engine light that it was too lean at just cruising around no power. So I, sent the pcm back to procharger and It fixed the issue. Then I had an issue with the car breaking up around peak boost (4500-redline)it is almost like a stutter and power comes back on. It is really noticeable In 2nd and 3rd. I was running the factory original plugs and I knew I need to get the ngk 6510, so this past weekend I replaced them and gapped them to 0.030 and I am still having the issue I was wondering what it could be. (I hope it is not leaning out)

Sounds like possible misfires or maybe the injector pulse width is way off. Honestly you need like an Aeroforce Gauge so you can check for Misfires. Data logging would be ideal but assuming you probably don't have HPTuners since you're using the ATI Canned tune.

:(

Have you considered getting a custom tune? I had issues with my canned tune so for me personally I say a custom tune is inevitable if you truly want to get the most out of your setup.

No I don’t have a wideband, and I figured a custom tune was going to be needed... I just don’t have the money currently to spend on it. Do you think it will be okay to drive for a little while till I can save some money.

Yeah just stay out of boost to be safe until you can get the funds to do a custom tune on it. If need be maybe take the Bypass valve off the IC so its always venting and can never build boost.

I would suggest doing some hard research before you end up popping a piston. The LT1 isn't a engine that you want to install a Supercharger on and not take the necessary measures to ensure that it is running properly. High compression, pump gas, boost, and cast pistons with tight ring gaps isn't a setup where you throw caution to the wind.

You need to get the setup tuned by a reputable tuner and install a 7 heat range spark plug. I would also upgrade to the LT4 fuel system.

If you don't have the funds to do it correctly, then I would take it off and sell it. Go with a proven Bolt-on remote tune package from PrayPerformance. The car will be faster, more reliable, and easier for a novice to maintain over a improperly setup FI system.

I am just being upfront and honest because I would hate to see you blow up your engine. The whole bolt-on 550whp and go advertising you see these Supercharger companies claim is BS at best.

Good Luck!

Hello Blackle17, I can help you I fix a lot of these problems on a regular basis.

You will need a few more Items and a custom tune to make your car safe and reliable.

Just finished another one yesterday.

If you order your Prochargers through me I give huge discounts on tuning, provide all the missing parts that make it work right, recommend certain options depending on your goals now and future so you don't have to buy anything twice.

Thank you all for your business and support.

Ted.
