Just note that this (the 2.2kohm 1/4 watt resistor) wont work for blinkers. The resister used in reverse lights is just to compensate for the crappy reverse switch that leaks current when not closed.

The resisters on the blinkers are load resisters needed to deal with the hardcoded BCM that expects a certain load or it will hyperflash.

Yea i hear you on that. That resistor is working wonders on the Reverse LED is all i can care about. The blinkers colors suck and maybe soon someone will come up with a DIY for that too.

For those of you that have installed the Phastek kit, where did you position the heat wrapped resistor?

I installed mine last night and took some extra caution positioning it behind the light casing, but also to be between where water channels through the trunk and where water could get in through the small outside gap between the car body and light housing on the other side.

I can't find these listed anywhere on the lighting section of Phasteks site. Anybody else? Edit: found it with a Google search. But says only for use on RS cars? Is that right?

Anyone else using the 2.2 ohm resistors with led bulbs? I want to put them in my 2020 Camaro. Post pics of how you wrapped the resistor on the bulb if you've done. How's the longevity? Is it worth it or just go with the more plug and play kit?
