Here is are build thread in case you haven't seen it. We have made a lot of mistaken and wouldn't want to see you repeat them. For example, we are running the same Cobra Misano seats you posted and based on the direction are care has taken.... we wouldn't use them today. We are basically going to replace them. Those seats aren't cheap either, so expensive mistake.

Thank you for linking your build thread... it will take a while to go thru the whole thing.... as stated this is expected to be a daily driver ( for me that means short 15-20 minute drives 2-3 times a weeks followed by 3-4 HR commutes on challenging canyon roads to my house outside the city every 4-8 days....

In addition a world class track just opened up about 20 minutes from my new home....

Regarding the Misanos... would you be able to say what you found was good and bad about the seats? I was going to throw on lumbar support seat heaters and perhaps mod a bit to add some DIY seat ventilation....

Did you find the cobras hard to take apart and did you guys order yours with Outlast Tech Heat Transfer Material?

My goal for the car is on my first post... essentially a naturally aspirated daily drivable gen 6 version of a Z28 ( Mag ride makes it possible to daily drive this)

Any all advice is welcome... I don't take criticism personally... I find it valuable to get another opinion... easy to get tunnel vision...

looks interesting... even better they have free install instructions which give us all insight into the process of removing the seats...

http://www.shraderperformance.com/install/cam6.pdf

I still might get a custom job done since I'm thinking of retaining the seat bottoms and would use a flexible high strength net covered by sound deadening fabric so I could secure long loads like my hockey gear and spare wheels and tires... the load limit on the floor of this unit is only 100 lbs... whereas the originals seat bottoms are good for at least 150-200 pounds per seat....
Hey man did you install this yet and is it as advertised? Just noticed it was 20lbs savings....that is a lot less than I thought it would be but it's still 20 fewer pounds lol.

Looks like you're going high-end with everything except the wheels. I like the way they look and they're a great buy, but would definitely not trust them. I'm pretty sure this is their first true forged wheel ever and they forge their metal in a 3rd world Asian country.

Could help offset some of the weight of a half cage or harness bar.

Your timing was impeccable...

I was about to do a couple days getaway down to L.A. area to meet some Camaro6 members, talk cars, do some prep and research work on my future mods...

I had a chance to finally sit in a number of seats and found that not only was the seat I finally chose more supportive than the Misano's but also more COMFORTABLE.

COBRA SUZUKA PRO GT

https://www.subesports.com/cobra/suz...t-gt/cob-10050

Using the Pro-Fit System you can swap different thicknesses/ and densities of foam, and by getting the GT version for its extra 30 mm width... its easy for me to get out and in... and I can add thicker padding for track days....

I really felt IN the seat rather than ON top of it when I test fitted.... I can't stress how important it is to try and get yourself to a shop that has many different seats so you can see what works best for YOU....

on top of all that... the seats weigh even less than the Misanos, between 17-19lbs

Now in order to take advantage of a sale price, I am tempted to buy one before my car is delivered....

I am hoping someone on the forum might spare a few minutes to measure the dimensions of their seat area and compare it to the measurements of this seat.

If I can confirm this will fit no problem, I will pull the trigger shortly and will provide my car as a mule to get some Gen6 Camaro seat mounts designed and fabricated for our cars....

I know a shop that is interested in doing this... so the sooner the better for everyone!

I had the Imola Pro GT as my passenger seat (similar, but with small thigh bolsters, easier for passengers to get in/out of). I do suspect, though, that the super high bolsters of the Suzuka may make it tight with the steering wheel. But you could offset that bay raising the steering wheel prior to exit.

Actually I'm thinking about getting Imola's as well for the pax seat!

How did you find them comfort wise for the passenger in comparison to the Suzuka Pro GT...?

Do they also come with the Pro-Fit system?

Debating whether to get the Imola GT just get another Suzuka GT for the passenger side

32 lb weight savings ... and that's unsprung rotational mass...I imagine it all behave like triple the weight savings due to less inertia to spin up and slow down...

Taiwan isn't (PRC) China.

Taiwan is not a 3rd World Country.

Comfort wise, they felt *nearly* identical to the Suzuka, just with smaller thigh bolsters. I went with those to allow easier ingress/egress for the passenger, and less wear on the bolster. Yes, they come in Pro-Fit (see your sizing diagram above).

Did you get to try any of Sparco's seats, I used them in my Porsche and found them to be very comfortable for me:

I did, but I've heard they wear worse... also these seats are kevlar ( vs fibreglass on comparitive price points) while being within 1-2 lbs of each other weight wise...

I was really happy with the spacer fabric (I tend to sweat alot) and the Pro-Fit sections can have their foam pads swapped for thicker or thinner thickness, as well as extra fabric for custom pads... as I will be rigging up some fan ventilation for longer roadtrips and the track and possibly some heater pads for daily driver duty in Canada...

Great article on Cobra seats and the production factory...

The stockpile of parts contines....

Something about that military grade magnesium shell and constant hardware and software upgradeability...

Combining it with Waze, and anAndroid phone.... so I felt it was the better fit over an Escort 360...

Looking at getting a full 5x head ALP Laser Jammer /Detector / Parking Curb Assist System installed....

After that, possibly a VHF since most truckers use that in the mountains instead of CB's...

You can't go wrong with the ALP as a jammer but it's parking sensor function is really just a way for it to mask its true purpose. Where you have to place the sensors it won't really work well as curb alert in case that mattered to you.

The magnesium case on the Valentin is just for people that drive in places where detectors are illegal to help avoid detection. It's good thing you have Android because you'll need Yavi running to filter all the false positives. Either detector will give you more than enough range - even one from 2 generations back would be serviceable.

Going back to your wheels, my point with the country is they may not be a place that abides by the same standards governing the controls over their production process. I can't remember the name of the standards but they were mentioned by a wheel manufacturer in that section of the forum. You may be fine, but if there are inconsistencies that could compromise the integrity of the wheel. I just don't know enough about them and they sound almost too good to be true. I hope they work out for you though.

Did you end up installing the rear seat delete or a roll cage?

+1 on the Vortex Generators! Does anyone make individual stick-ons? That would be easiest to implement with the 6th gen's roof shape.

What you're looking for are JWL and VIA certified wheels. Nothing else is worth your safety.
